Augustine, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Prague, has taken advantage of the Covid lull, in order to give a fabulous facelift to its lobby.
Designers FG Stijl undertook the work, which brightens up the area and gives it a much more open feel.
The wooden walls are all new, the fireplace has been extended, and the chandelier removed, meaning the lobby is now illuminated by natural light.
The reception desk has been created in such a way that the front office agents can be closer to guests (however now there is plexiglas due the current situation), and amazing tapestry art work has been added behind the lobby. Further to this, a section has been created for the guest relation manager.
The Augustine, Prague is a veritable oasis in the heart of the city, located in the centre of Prague’s fabled Lesser Town district, right below Prague Castle and just steps away from Charles Bridge.
As part of Luxury Collection, Augustine defines the destination with its deep history and energy inspired by the 13th century Augustine monastery, which is interconnected with the hotel and still active with four monks living there. The hotel is directly connected to Baroque St. Thomas Church and offers special tours where guests may experience an authentic Augustinian monastery and a 13th century library without stepping outside of the hotel. The property offers 101 individually furnished contemporary luxury rooms and suites in various categories including four exquisite signature suites that will definitely inspire guests.Together with the lobby the hotel’s management has renovated the courtyard next to the lobby, and the hallway, which also receives more nature light.
Since the renovations, the inner courtyard is now a private rose garden, where management arranges private dining. It is also available for smaller coffee breaks or reception for groups.
