Miami International Airport now claims to be #1 in the US in terms of the number of carriers operating.

The announcement comes as SAS begins direct ights between Stockholm and Miami this October. The new route between Stockholm will depart once a week on Sundays starting October 29th. The route between Stockholm and Miami International Airport (MIA) is operated by an Airbus 330 featuring the new SAS cabin. The new route joins existing routes from Oslo and Copenhagen to Miami. With SAS’s ights from MIA to Oslo and Copenhagen that began in 2016, as well as recently launched nonstop service to Helsinki and Reykjavík by other airlines, MIA will soon serve the ve major countries in the Scandinavian region and 25 destinations throughout Europe – the most ever in the airport’s history.

Meanwhile, on the seaside, a new Royal Caribbean cruise terminal currently under construction at PortMiami will bring the world’s largest cruise ships to PortMiami thanks to a partnership between the line and Miami-Dade County. The new Royal Caribbean terminal, one of the biggest cruise terminals in the country, will bring Royal Caribbean International’s massive Oasis-class ships home, including the world’s largest ship, the Symphony of the Seas in Q3 2018 immediately followed by Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas.
