Group to add Lisbon and Rome in 2018, linking eight European cities to South America
LATAM Airlines Group has been consistently growing over the past three years to become a major player between Latin America and Europe, particularly after the merger of LAN Chile with Brazilian TAM. Since 2016, the group has launched 25 new international routes from four South American hubs: Lima, Rio, Sao Paulo and Santiago de Chile.
While LATAM Chile mostly expanded towards North America and Asia- Paci c, LATAM Brazil has build up its presence in Europe with daily ights to Barcelona, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Milan and Paris. In 2018, the carrier will add two destinations in Europe: Lisbon and Rome. The carrier will launch three weekly ights from March 2018 between Rome and Sao Paulo Guarulhos, moving up to ve weekly ights in July.
During the second half of 2018, LATAM will connect Lisbon to Sao Paulo. More details will be given as to the aircraft and frequencies in the near future.
