Tempting Places Launches 2016-17 Guide and Announces “Le Marianne”

temptingplacesIn exclusivity at ILTM Cannes, TemptingPlaces has introduced the first guide featuring their entire collection. Readers can enter the intimate world of more than 140 outstanding boutique hotels across 34 countries.

The guide is all about story telling hotels that stand out from traditional ones. The 145 pages, listed by regions of the world, are a gateway to a dream world of stunning properties, portraits of visionary owners, hotel descriptions and exclusive TemptingPlaces privileges that can be enjoyed by members of the group’s TravelersClub.

Meet Marianne…

marianneLocated in the rue Paul Baudry, named for the artist to whom we owe the foyer of the Opéra Garnier, Le Marianne is minutes away from the Champs Elysées – the most beautiful avenue in the world – the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and the Avenue Montaigne. It is thus an ideal location for those seeking to discover high-end Parisian shopping and French “art de vivre.”

Nested in rue Paul Baudry, set back slightly from the hustle and bustle of the Champs-Elysees, yet a stone’s throw from there, the Hotel Le Marianne mirrors the city where it is located :  at the same time steeped in history and resolutely modern.

Interestingly, while Marianne is the symbol of France, it is also the first name of the owner’s wife.

The hotel’s location in the 8th arrondissement and its vicinity to the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré offers the business traveller immediate access to the business world: many companies and large law firms, both French and Anglo-Saxon, are headquartered in the area.

The interior design of this stately Haussmannian residence is the work of Charles Zana and reflects his talent in creating living spaces where one feels truly at home.  Chairs are designed by Fornasetti; the collection of photographs of beloved Paris; a library of selected French literature; and the magnificent chandelier in gilded brass, designed by the artist Johana Grawunder.
