HOTEL INDUSTRY BOOMING IN INDONESIA

AccorHotels Continues to Lead Market:

Accorhotels is market leader in the Indonesian archipelago with 100 hotels. AccorHotels plans to open 17 more hotels across Indonesia this year as part of its long-term program to build at least 200 hotels by 2020. The chain plans to open one hotel of its upscale brand Pullman in Ciawi, West Java, another of the Novotel brand in Pekanbaru, Riau, among others, this year.

Aloft Jakarta Simatupang Announced for 2020:

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced that the Aloft Jakarta Simatupang will mark the third Aloft brand pipeline hotel in Jakarta behind the 140-key Aloft Jakarta Kebon Jeruk (September 2017) and the 160-key Aloft Jakarta Wahid Hasyim (December 2017).

Meliá Hotels Announces 15th Hotel in Indonesia:

In March, Meliá Hotels International announced the signing of Melia Bintan, its 15th hotel in Indonesia and second on the island of Bintan, following the announcement of Gran Melia Bintan.

Waldorf Astoria Bali set to open in 2017:

The first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts Property in Indonesia will be located in the exclusive Bukit Pandawa precinct in the south of Bali. The 96-villa property is the fourth hotel in the pipeline in Indonesia for the Hilton group.
