ITB Asia 2016 launches dedicated MICE day
ITB Asia 2016 will showcase its strongest meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) line up to date with a full day conference programme dedicated to the growing sector.
Organised by Messe Berlin (Singapore), ITB Asia 2016 will take place at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, from 19 – 21 October. The event features hundreds of exhibiting companies from around the world, covering not only the leisure market, but also corporate and MICE travel. Exhibitors from every sector of the industry, including destinations, airlines and airports, hotels and resorts, theme parks and attractions, inbound tour operators, inbound DMCs, cruise lines, spas, venues, other meeting facilities and travel technology companies all attend.

New partnerships with prominent industry heavyweights such as the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) and Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (SACEOS), as well as a renewed agreement with the Incentive Conference & Event Society Asia Pacific (ICESAP) ensure delegates learn more about the latest news and innovations from thought leaders in their respective fields.
Taking place on 20 October 2016, the second day of the exhibition, the inaugural MICE Day @ ITB Asia will be held in a specially designed conference room, and will include sessions from a wide range of industry partners, covering a full spectrum of topical issues facing the MICE sector today.
2016 PARTNER COUNTRY OF ITB ASIA INTRODUCES ‘STOPOVER’ IN FINLAND
In announcing Finland as Partner Country for the 2016 show, ITB Asia will act as a platform to showcase the best of Finland to hundreds of travel industry leaders from Asia and beyond. The partnership will also help Visit Finland tap into the world’s fastest growing travel market. Finland’s location in the crossroads of west and east as well as its extensive route network to Asia provides a great opportunity for Asian travellers to experience Finland en route to Europe.
Launching this year, Visit Finland’s new programme, “Stopover Finland”, has been designed to establish the country as a stopover destination for passengers travelling via Helsinki Airport by offering a choice of 50 attractive packages.
